Petite outfit

Fur & Stripes

October 5, 2015

For this first October post, I show you a Fall outfit. With the temperatures that are cooling down, we can store back our warm clothes inside our closets. My greatest joy (in fact, everything is relative, because my heart inclines to both excitation to wear again my favorite winter items and my reluctance to the coldness) is to wear again my Zara kids faux fur cardigan bought last year.

In this outfit, I show you two Fall/winter 2015-2016 trends. First of all, there is the fur trend that continues this winter. You can wear it through big winter coats for an eccentric style or by touch with accessories like collars or clutchs for a more discreete style (trend saw on Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, J Crew fashion show). Secondly, horizontal stripes are also very fashionable. Bretons are still a key piece to have. It’s an item that succeeded in challenging time because season after season, we are not tired of it (saw on Saint Laurent or Isabelle Marant fashion show).

I have combined this faux fur cardigan with a Breton from Massimo Dutti kids and camel accessories. The low boots come from Asos (T35), they size a little big as I have to wear them with a pair of soles inside. The bag is from Zara and reminds me very much the Claude Sézane bag from the current collection. Don’t you?

The earrings I wear are from Les Somethings, a young jewellry brand founded in September 2013 by Charlotte. Legal expert and stylist, she started her professional career by working for a clothes brand, then she decided three years later to dedicate herself to her own jewellry line. Those earrings are one of my summer crush. I love the design that is simple and original in the same time.

Have a nice week, Xxx.

Fashion advice for Petites

Breton is for me a must-have even if horizontal stripes are not adviced to Petites. Indeed, we look smaller wearing this kind of print. To balance this optical effect, I wear an open cardigan to bring verticality to the outfit.

Zara kids cardigan (old), similar in Zara kids current collection – Massimo Dutti kids Breton (new co, sold out on the e-shop) – Maje jeans (old) – Zara bag (new co) – Asos low boots, T35 (new co) – Les Somethings earrings, summertime design (new co) – Essie Russian roulette polish
