My love for pastel

May 17, 2016

I love wearing pastel colors, especially when the weather is lovely. Personally, I find that pale pink and mint fit very well together but I also think that all the pastel colors are great together. In general, I do respect the “three colors theory” (no more than three different colors in an outfit) but I consider that it’s not applicable to pastel colors. We can mix them without doing any “faux pas”.

It’s a pastel color I show you today. I wear my new Sézane mint jumper paired with my pale pink Des Petits Hauts jumper (already seen here) and my white Hollister jeggings. Like always with Sézane, I had to fight to get this jumper. It’s part of the permanent collection, so it is regularly restocked but this design is always sold out during the first hours of the sale’s opening. I missed it in March, so I waited for April restock to buy it. I logged in on the e-shop only half an hour after the sales start and the last XS size was already in a “reserved” state, meaning that the item is in another client chart, but not sold yet. So as usual when I am in this situation, I refresh the page every seconds, until the item is available again. Finally, I got it! Determination always pays!

I don’t regret this purchase at all. The jumper is very oversize but I find it lovely put into the front side pants. It’s very soft (it contains 30% of mohair) and is not scraping for a wool jumper. Moreover, it’s not transparent at all: I just wear a skin tone underwear inside.

I have completed the outfit with mint and pink touches: the earrings pompoms from Tak CHa are mint and pale pink, the H&M belt and Zara bag are pink.

My sneakers are from Balsamik. I love their gold color and the fact that they are very chic. It is the only pair of sneakers I can wear at work. It’s a very difficult situation for me because my shoesing is full of sneakers I can only wear during weekends.

To end, I wear a bracelet from the designer brand Eloïse Fiorentino. It is made with gold plated brass and the stone is iced crystal. It’s not available on the e-shop yet but if you want it, you can get it in contacting Eloïse directly through her Internet website here.

Enjoy your week, Xxx.

Fashion advice for petites

Don’t hesitate to put your jumper inside your pants if it is oversize. It marks the waist and structures the body.
