France Petite outfit Travels

Feeling good wearing a jog pants and sneakers

May 30, 2016

This outfit was shot last weekend in Provins. Provins is a lovely medieval city close to Paris, it is listed in the Unesco World Heritage Site. The city is very nice, full of charm and reminded me very much Brittany half-timbered houses and paved streeets.

For this weekend, I wanted to wear a cool and comfy outfit, in jog pants and sneakers. Personally, I have never been fond of jog pants, it reminds me so much the 90’s with its Lacoste and Sergio Tacchini chick yellow pants which were parading on the streets. But this trend made me change my mind: jog pants is back but with nicer fabrics like fleece. So I challenged myself to wear the jog pants in a cool style in remaining chic and feminine.

I wear a gray jog pants from the brand One Day Petite that I have paired it with my new feminine Pataugas sneakers. I love its embroideries which bring a chic touch to my outfit. Pataugas has recently designed town footwear. And it’s well done! The brand has used its know-how in hiking boots to create super comfortable sneakers.

To add feminity to the outfit, I wear a white top in a lingerie style from Asos Petite. It’s the lingerie trend this Summer (saw on Givenchy, Céline, Balenciaga fashion show). It’s been a while I was looking for a top like this but there are only tops with fine stripes in stores and it’s not the kind of design that fit to my thin body type. After a few weeks of research, I came accross this one at Asos Petite. I love its fabric (crease-resistant) and its ruffles on the arms that give volume to my body type.

Concerning the jewellry, I wear a Mirgiole necklace bought on We Are Paris, an e-store that sell made in France only. Each season, 15 designers are selected by We Are Paris. That was the case of Mirgiole last winter. The headband has been designed by Azucar Bijoux. It is composed of a 16 carats gold chain made with leaves. I love its romantic and poetic style, perfect to accessorize a light Summer outfit. I already see it worn with a little Summer dress.

Have a lovely week, Xxx.

Fashion advice to petites

Jog pants don’t have a very structured shape and it’s not really adjusted to petite women. For that, don’t hesitate to wear a high waist jog pants and a short top to lenghten the legs. The open jacket adds verticality to the outfit. With that, there is no need to wear high heels!

Du style et encore du style, c’est simple et ça marche quand on assume ses choix. Moi j’ai adoré le sac sophistiqué et la dentelle qui tout d’un coup raconte une autre histoire avec le jogging. Bravo !
