The pompons sweater

March 23, 2015

Today, I show you my new handmade sweater.

For that, I have corrected the Courcelles sweater pattern from Cozy Little World in shorten the length of the piece of clothe and the sleeves by 11 cm to replace it by an embroidered fabric.

The PDF explanations are very clear, the project is not difficult to realize. However, I have faced difficulties with the neck biais tape. I had to unsew it at least 3-4 times to have nice finishings. The fabric is very easy to sew (I have used my regular needle and haven’t changed for a jersey one). The fabric doesn’t trim so there is no need to overcast the different pieces before putting them together.

I have chosen to wear my Stan Smith for a cool and casual outfit, but pumps would also be perfect for a chic and feminine style. I have also added a fringe bag from Zara for the 70’s touch. I am completely in love with Zara current collection bags. They are gorgeous (I might buy one a month…)! This one, contrary to the last one I bought (white bucket bag here and black bag here) is made with real leather.

For the earrings, I wear pearls to remind the sweater pompons and the polka dot embroidered fabric.
