It has been a while I wanted to buy the Slash sneakers from Comptoir des Cotonniers, original by the laces on the side. However, they didn’t fit. They were too big for me because the smallest size was 36. A few weeks ago, I discovered thanks to the blogger Excuse Me I’m French that the Slash have been released at the kids’ section (but only in white). Good news for small feet! It was a Sunday and as we were close to Christmas, the stores were opened. I took the opportunity to call a few Comptoir des Cotonniers outlets to set aside a pair in 35. I was afraid they would be sold out too quickly. For information, they are available in the Comptoir des Cotonniers stores that sell the kid’s collection and at the Galaries Lafayette Haussman and Printemps Haussman. However, be careful because they size big: the 34 size was too small for me (my feet even couldn’t get into it) but the 35 is a little too big because I need to wear soles in it. Anyway, I am very happy for having bought it because it changes from the traditionnal Stan Smith!
For this first outfit with the Slah, I wanted to wear it with a jeans in a casual outfit. Like usual, we break the too “cool” style with a a slim jacket and accessories (earrings, brooch, pin’s) to bring a touch of feminity. It is exactly the kind of outfit I love wearing : simple but decorated with lovely jewellry and accessories. My style is far from being extraverted and reflects very well my peronality. I hold a blog by passion for fashion but I am in fact a quite discreete person.
The pin’s is a creation from the brand Parisi, a lovely brooch brand created this year by Anaïs. I love her feminine, poetic universe full of colors and glitter. The earrings are Barbarisme Paris current collection, one of my favorite jewellry brand (article on the brand here)
Have a lovely week, Xxx.
Fashion advice for petites
I always repeat the same advices but it’s for you guys who just joined! The outfit looks like the one I was wearing here. The Breton (horizontal stripes in general) are not advised to petites contrary to vertical stripes which heighten. But if you like this kind of design, wear it with an opened cardigan or jacket to bring verticality to the outfit. Then, put your top in the pants to give an optical effect of “short chest” and “long legs”. Also favour high waist pants to lenghten the legs. Mine is not high waist enouh, I find.
